Here is what is on my…and the kids watch list this month on Netflix. Some we’ve seen, some are on our ‘to watch’ list!
There are 5 seasons of this to binge on. Its a drug/crime series with some sex thrown in too. It’s like a modern Peaky Blinders, took me a while to get into though but it’s pretty good if not a bit obvious in parts.
RIVERDALE Season 3
A new episode of season 3 is out every Friday. I’m letting this one build up though as I hate waiting a whole week for a new episode. I’m a serial binge watcher!
This has been on Netflix quite some time. Another drug/money storyline to this one. It is quite dark and depressing so I really have to be in a certain mood to watch it. Then again it makes your life seem quite calm and boring in comparison 🙂
CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA: out Fri 26th Oct 2018
Yes, this is based on the classic Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Archie Comics series…Greendale….Riverdale…that amused me! I don’t think it will compare to the original series, this looks darker and not really a comedy series like the original. I could be wrong though, deffo giving it a try as it seems good either way.
MAKING A MURDERER PART 2
This came out last weekend and although I haven’t watched it yet; friends have said it consolidates their theories about Steven Avery being innocent.
THE GIRL ON THE TRAIN
I loved this movie when I saw it in the cinema. It was a great thriller! Basically, a woman on a train witnesses a crime and it goes from there. Definitely, a must watch.
This is kind of like the Great British Bake Off but it’s body painters competing. I’ve never been artistic so it’s fascinating to watch how they paint on a body and make it look so amazing. The kids have been watching this with us too.
Seems like a brilliant documentary series about how social media is shaping society. There are episode son asmr, black survivalists, intersex, sex workers and sex trafficking, IVF, teen influencers and more. Can’t wait to get stuck into them.
NAPPILY EVER AFTER
Rom-Com that follows a black woman’s journey on the relationship with her hair. Seems to be a feel-good movie.
DERREN BROWN: SACRIFICE
‘Illusionist Derren Brown concocts a psychological experiment in which he tries to manipulate an ordinary person into taking a bullet for a stranger.”
BOSS BABY BACK IN BUSINESS SEASON 2
I loved the first series of this series based on the movie just as much as the kids did. Very funny and cute one for the kids or to watch as a family on a Sunday.
Animated kids movie about a gnome, obviously and a family that move to a new home.
BARNEY: PLANES, TRAINS & CARS
Not sure how long this has been on Netflix but I just came across it. So happy, I used to love Barney haha!
Side note: make sure in the kids profile setting you have older kids ticked too. I only had little kids ticked in the younger kids profile and Barney wouldn’t come up with that setting. Odd but there ya go.
