Introducing PowderPocket Box! Ireland’s First beauty subscription service

Yaz January 3, 2014     22 Comments     Beauty, Irish Businesses, Makeup, Skin care

Oh my god girls,  I was so excited when I heard about Ireland getting their own monthly beauty box…think Glossybox, except this one, PowderPocket, is based in Ireland (Tuam, Co.Galway to be exact) for us Irish gals. Whooo!

The lovely girls at PowderPocket sent me their launch box to review and I have to say the box exceeded my expectations! After trying a few Glossyboxes over the years I was usually disappointed as it seemed people in the UK got the better and full-sized products.
With PowderPocket everyone gets the same but it’s still surprise each month so at least you don’t feel hard done by seeing others get what you really wanted in their box.

First off it was packed so nice, the delivery box had their pink stand out-ish logo all over it and inside was a black box with their signature pink PowderPocket logo on the lid. When opened it had a lovely bow and sticker containing my goodies and a glossy magazine explaining my products and other beauty news! So let’s get to the important part…what beauty products I got!
powder pocket box contents

  • Blank Canvas Cosmetics HD Dome Face Brush F22
  • Vichy Idealia Life Serum (I’ve done a review on this serum here if you want a look)
  • Shiseido Extra Gentle Foaming Cleanser
  • Academie Bronz’Express
  • Hugo Boss BOSS JOUR Pour Femme

So as you can see they are good branded products, the makeup brush alone is worth €13.99 and it’s one I don’t already have. I have other BCC brushes and love them so know I will this too. I already have the Vichy Idealia Life Serum so I can tell you it’s good stuff and although there are eight sample sachets you can easily make one sachet last two days 😉 I also love the perfume sample, can’t go wrong with Boss. I’m looking forward to trying the tan and cleanser also.

The magazine is a really nice touch and is packed full of information from how to use your products, where to buy and even discount codes for some of the products contained in the box if you really like a certain one. It also had makeup & tanning application tips & introduces you to some other Irish brands.

Overall I’m really impressed with the first box from PowderPocket. It’s beautifully presented, has really good branded products and a very informative and helpful magazine. A must have for Irish women who like to keep on trend with the latest beauty news/products, I also love the whole feel of the company, I feel like they really care about their customers and have a keen interest in the beauty world. The  whole business including their website is very professional and I found them lovely to deal with.

PowderPocket Box can be bought on a monthly basis so you are not tied down to a 6 or 12 month subscription but that option is available if you really love it, great idea for a gift too. A 1 month subscription costs €12 plus €3 for delivery. It’s €60 (plus p&p) for 6 months plus 1 free box, or €120 (plus p&p) for 12 months and 2 boxes fee!

Are you excited to see Ireland finally has our own beauty subscription box service? Will you try out a PowderPocket box?

Hi Eloise, thanks for your comment. There is another Irish beauty subscription box called Chic Treat Club>>https://chictreatclub.com/ and then there is GlossyBox Uk that also deliver to Ireland. Looks like the Irish ones are getting better reviews than Glossybox xx
