GoQuest Challenge Rooms Dublin – Review

A few days ago myself and some other Irish bloggers got to go to check out GoQuest located in Dublin 11 just off exit 5 from the M50 (it’s opposite Awesome Walls to give you an idea)

Immediately when I heard of GoQuest it reminded me of the popular show ‘The Crystal Maze’ which everyone wanted to have a go at am I right? Well now is your chance!

GoQuest has 27 challenge rooms split into 4 zones and each room is either a physical, mental or skill challenge.goquest challenge zones
Basically you have to go in the room with your team of 3-5 people and finish the challenge. Sounds easy enough right? The catch though is it’s not always clear what you have to do so there are clues written on the wall to help. You only have a certain amount of time for each go but you can keep trying, You get 1 hours and 30 mins in total to do as many challenge rooms as you can and get the most points which is all recorded and you can see the scores live on screens throughout the zones.

I was in a team of 4 with Sue, her son Aaron and sister Corrina who all write for one of my long-time favourite blogs CherrySueDointheDo. First we were brought into the briefing room to be told a few rules etc then we were let loose into the zones. We had such great craic doing the challenges, some had us cursing others had us frustrated and some had us in fits of giggles.

The staff were really helpful if you had any problems. The rooms & games were very well done and thought out. Oh and the music to set the tone of the whole game was spot on, definitely made you feel like you were in The Crystal Maze ha!goqquest challenge rooms

I think this is a prefect activity for family and friends, even colleagues as you need a lot of teamwork so would be a good bonding experience. I can imagine it being great craic for a hens or stags too!.

Yes that was our team name lol!

There is a seating area with a snack bar in the building too that sells very nice Irish coffee to perk you up before the games if needed.

So if you are in the Dublin area do check this place out, you won’t regret it. Children ages 8-11 can join in once with an adult and children aged 12 up can play once an adult is on the premises
Price is €16.50 per adult or less if booking in large group. So it is a bit on the pricey side but it’s 90mins long and it’s something different than the usual cinema trip. You can see more about it and book online too at their website here.

Let me know if you’ve been or plan on going. Yaz x
