By now many of you have heard of Irish beauty box Chic Treat Club which is now in its 6th month! To celebrate they are now offering their beauty box as a monthly subscription for just €16.95 incl. delivery, before it was only 3/6/12 month subscription options available. So the monthly option is better if you can only want to treat yourself every couple of months or just to test the waters as it can be stopped and started whenever you please 🙂
This month was filled with awesome brands including two Irish ones. Inside the gorgeous lemon coloured box was:
- Waxperts Ingrown Pads €7.99
- Bia Beauty Lemon Myrtle Hand Cream €14.99
- Sleek Eye Dust €3.99
- Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula Foot Magic €4.99
- Dream Water €2.99
Waxperts Ingrown Pads are from Irish beauty expert and creator of Waxperts Wax Ellen Kavanagh. These little pads have salicylic acid which is a well-known exfoliator. They also contain rosemary which has anti-inflammatory properties and panthenol which is brilliant for healing and moisturising irritated skin. These pads are great for any ingrown hairs and bumps you get after waxing or shaving and also the bumps on the tops of your arms! I have more about these pads here.
I go through many many hand creams a year so love a good hand cream and was glad to see this Lemon Myrtle Hand Cream from Bia Beauty. Irish brand Bia Beauty was created Tracey in Cork and only uses 100% natural ingredients in her products. This hand cream smells so summery and fresh with its lemon, bees-wax & almond oil ingredients! It’s very thick and super moisturising. I find my hands feel a tiny bit sticky feeling after applying which I’d say is the lemon but it goes away after a few minutes. A tiny bit does a lot and I can’t stop sniffing my hands afterwards 🙂
Sleek is one of my favourite drug store brands. Especially their eye shadows as they are super pigmented and so cheap. This glittery Eye Dust is gorgeous if a little messy but it’s so gorgeous on and will be gorgeous for summer. I got Jet Set which is a turquoise colour.
Palmers is another good brand and I’ve really been trying to look after my feet better especially now that the feet will be on show a bit more so a this foot cream was very much welcomed. It contains coca butter of course and vitamin E to make it deeply moisturising and perfect for rough dry skin on the soles of feet. There is also peppermint and mango butter which, as you can imagine, smells so divine! The cream is super super thick and kind of like a gel so a little bit does wonders.
Last we have a shot drink called Dream Water which claims to help you get a good nights rest and wake up feeling refreshed and not groggy. The active ingredient in this is melatonin, a sleep hormone made by our bodies and also found in small amounts in certain foods. There is also other ingredients that stimulate brain signals to help the body relax. I’m not sure I will take this as I’m on tablets to help with my anxiety so I don’t think it would be a good mix and I’m not mad on these ‘food supplement’ shot drinks.
I’m super happy with 4/5 of the products so that’s a big thumbs up from me. As I always say beauty boxes won’t satisfy everyone 100%, what one person might love another might hate but Chic Treat Club are getting it pretty spot on so far as they are putting in good brands and useful products.
Have you got a Chic Treat Club box yet? Don’t forget it can now be gotten on as a monthly subscription for €16.95 incl. shipping, as well as a 3/6/12 month subscription option too. Perfect present for yourself or a friend! Order today to ensure you get the July box.Yaz x
