Two weekends ago some of us from The Irish Parenting Bloggers Group decided to have a little meetup at Powerscourt Gardens in Co Wicklow. They were kind enough to let us have free entry for out meetup. I was pretty excited to go since the last time I was there was when I was in primary school lol! I always remember how much I loved the Japeneese gardens so I pretty much headed there first. I was late so the rest of the group were already wandering about
I had the three kids with me, the youngest 6 months was in her buggy. To be honest I wish I’d had a carrier for her as gardens aren’t the best for anything with wheels just a little tip if you plan on going with kids. There was a lot of steps in the Japanese gardens so we didn’t get to fully explore but we still had a lot of fun. And it was just as beautiful and tranquil as I remember 🙂 Sorry I’ve no pics of that part as I took them all with the kids in it but I do have this pretty one!
There is a lovely cafe inside too. Myself & the kids dint get a chance to eat there but Candi and her beautiful daughter did and it sounded yummy!
If you are looking to get back in touch with yourself and nature this is such a lovely peacful place. It was actually put at no.3 in The National Geographic list of Top 10 Gardens which is pretty amazing for our little country!
Kids under 4 go free which is great and tickets then range from €5-€8.50. If you book online the tickets are valid for 1 year which is handy!
Lastly a big thanks to Kate from Kate Take 5 for organising our little meet up 🙂 Yaz x
