Yet another Irish skin care brand, Bia Beauty. I’m telling ye I can’t keep up with all these great Irish businesses popping up 🙂 It’s great!!
A little about Bia Beauty: Founded by Herbal Scientist Tracey Ryan in Cork all Bia Beauty products are 100% natural and any emulsifiers and preservatives used are plant-based. Tracey does not test anything on animals either.
The tagline for Bia Beauty is ”Feed your skin” isn’t that beautiful? Your skin absorbs a whopping 60% of what you put on your skin so it really is best that the ingredients are natural!
I was lucky enough to get to try out her Orange & Grapefruit Cleanser & Exfoliator.
As you can imagine this has a lovely refreshing fruity smell. It contains castor and thistle oil which are great for cleansing and extracting impurities and one of my faves jojoba but in the form of tiny grains.
I have to say I do prefer my grains in my exfoliator to be bigger/more rough as I feel they gets rid of more dead skin but this does a surprisingly great job. I like that it removes all your makeup too as well as eye makeup (it doesn’t seem to sting my eyes or anything) My skin also feels very nourished and soft afterwards.
I think this would be a very nice cleanser and exfoliator for dry and sensitive skin. I do like this cleanser/exfoliator but prefer mine to be more for oily skin/spot prone skin. I still use this a lot during the week though when I feel my skin feels dry and doesn’t need much exfoliating if my skin isn’t breaking out.
Bia Beauty products can be bought online with free delivery. The the cleanser costs €16.95 it may seem a lot to some but it’s for your face at the end of the day and you only need a small amount of this to cleanse and exfoliate, more bang for your buck as it’s a 2-in-1 product 😉
