I bought these for my boyfriend to give to me for Christmas haha, was horrible not being open them when they arrived!
So here’s what I got in each
This was my first ever SheSaidBeauty box, loved the packaging, thought it was really cute
Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover – 1 second remover, well that ovbiouly a lie. Takes about 10 seconds, didn’t think it would remove all the polish but in fairness it did. Has a lovely smell too and my nails and cuticles felt very moisturised after it. Don’t think I would buy it again, I prefer good old-fashioned polish remover and a cotton pad 😉
Oroco Superico Vitamin Rich Face Oil– I usually love face oils, I’ve been using TanOrgainc’s Argon Oil and love that so I was looking forward to trying this. Unfortunately it didn’t seem to agree to well with me, it’s quite a thick oil so it made my face feel greasy for ages after and it deffo clogged up my pores a I then got some sort of rash around my temples! But if you have dry skin like my boyfriend I think you’ll like it, well my bf does anyway haha!
AMIE SPRING CLEAN Cooling Clay Mask-Anything with the word clay instantly attracts me a I’ve combination oily skin. This face mak is deep cleansing and gets rid of dirt deep in the pores. I haven’t done a mask in ages and this is just what I needed, my skin feels cleaner and really smooth. It also has no parabens, sulphates, mineral oils or uuummm animal extracts???!? And is over 94% natural ingredients
Technic Nail Polish in Tawny Port– I love purple so this was the first thing I tried! Well it was….AWFUL! Can’t belive this could sell, It was watery and opaque even after 2 coat. And after a few hours it chipped and peeled away!
Jing Sword Green Tea– I like green tea simply coz it’s meant to be good for you, but some taste awful, this one was very nice. Light and refreshing 🙂
Doctor Duve Creams-Anti-aging & firming eye cream, Anti-aging & clarifying face cream, they moistured my skin alright but can’t decide yet whether I’m younger looking not haha!
Now on to the Glossybox (loved the star paper and silver box this month)
milk_shake Conditioning Whipped Cream– The smell off this is soooooo gooood! Literally like a milkshake! You apply it to damp hair and blow dry as normal. Deffo made my hair a lot silkier and the casein protein made it feel less damaged at the ends. I was worried it would make my hair greasy but it didn’t very happy with this and a nice good size too!
Lemon by Mary Greenwell– Nothing unusual about this perfume, very plain and sort of more an older persons scent but even at that I don’t think it’s very impressive. It’s just not nice.
Seche Nail Lacquer in Lumiere– Hmmm well this was better than the one I got in the SheSaidBeauty box above, the pigment was good but it chipped quicker than I thought it should have. Prob wouldn’t but again.
SebaMed Anti-dry Hydrating Body Lotion– Loved this, really good moisturizer, got rid of any dry patches of skin after one use, just had a look on their website and it’s patent pending-fancaaaay! Here’s what else it says on their site about it!
- Boosts hydration by 26% in 3 weeks
- Rapeseed phytosterols protect relieve itching, tension and burning sensation in the skin
- Active ingredient phytosterol equivalent anti-inflammatory effect to cortisone, but without the side effect

Think I’ll be buying this again if it’s available in Ireland?!
Sleek True Colour Lipstick in Coral Reef-Never tried a sleek lipstick before. This is a good lipstick and it hasn’t dried out my lips, just read the box and it contains Vitiman E. Will be looking into buying some more of these 😉 It looks very red in the pic below, but it’s more pink in real life.
Glossybox blush– Lovely little addition to the box this month for Christmas, thought it would be crap, but it’s a pretty colour and goes on well.
I think by far the Glossybox was my favourite out of the two. Both had their pros and cons though. SheSaidBeauty are not doing their beauty boxes anymore so it looks like for us Irish ladies our only choice is the Glossybox. I have got a few in the past but wasn’t too impressed, I find them hit and miss.
