Hi all. I’m back today with another makeup review and an eyemakeup look. I was sent some NYC goodies a couple of weeks ago and have been using the products a lot now lately. I was sent some gorgeous eyeshadow palettes called ‘Individual Eyes’ which come in a range of shades to specifically compliment your eye colour!
I got sent Midtown Mauve for Brown eyes & Smoky Greens for green eyes. Being a brown eyed girl myself I naturally opened (like a hungry bear) the Midtown Mauve palette. Since then it’s been love, I haven’t even opened the one for green eyes yet because this has been my go to palette the last few weeks! Oh and they all come with a highlighter as well as a really good primer. To be honest I had never used an eyeshadow primer before but can see I have been missing out, it really makes the colour easier to apply and more pigmented too!
Above is the palette and City Proof Mascara in action! The bottom pictures are more true to colour than the top which looks very brown due to the lighting but in reality you get a gorgeous purple smoky eye with this palette in seconds. It’s so easy as it tells you on the back which colours to use where! Very handy!
The mascara exceeded my expectations! You girls know how fussy I am about mascara. I didn’t expect it to live up to it’s claims of being a buildable mascara without making your lashes brittle, flaky or clumpy! In the above pic I used two coats and it made them super long and thick looking, very black too <3 I had never tried NYC mascaras before this as I was afraid of stinging since I have sensitive eyes but I now can’t wait to try some more of their mascaras. So do let me know if you have any NYC mascara you think I should try next.
Next I have the equally brilliant City Proof Twistable Intense Lip Colours to show you!
These are like a lip stain with a balm look. Not drying on the lips either which is always a major thing for me when it comes to lip products. The shades above are 030 Metropolitan Mauve and 052 Roosevelt Island Red.
And finally their blush Cheek Glow in 649 Prospect Park Rose. It’s a very light peach shade which didn’t give me much colour but a lovely shimmer or ‘glow’ like the name suggests.
I haven’t got prices on the products yet, but they are all very cheap around the €5 or less mark, available in Penny’s and Dunnes Stores. Again please tell me another one of their mascaras I should try or any of their products you love?! Yaz x
