I haven’t done a skin care routine in yonks. I said now would be a good time as with it being Summer my skin care routine has changed again. I’m more oily around my t-zone in the warmer months so have to change products to deal with it and avoid breakouts. I’ll show you my morning and evening skincare routine in separate posts. For now I’ll start with my morning routine.
Morning Skin Care Routine
When I wake up first thing I do is cleanse off all the nights sweat and dirt from the pillow off my face, yuck! I’m using Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Water now in place of the Garnier one as it was starting to make me break out. So glad this popular French pharmacy skin care brand has finally landed here! My skin feels refreshed and cleansed after using this in the morning. Sometimes I splash my face with some water too if I need extra waking up!
Next I put on the Clarins Mission Perfection Serum that I reviewed in full here. I’m trialling to see does it reduce the few age spots I’ve started developing. I think the light ones I had around my eyes have faded as they are very hard to see now. Apart from that though I love how my skin looks after this, really bright and glowy. It’s improved my skin’s colour heaps in terms of redness and even skin tone since I started it about 4 weeks ago now.
Then, as always, I put on an SPF and the one I’m using now is Clarins UV Plus SPF 50. It’s light, doesn’t clog the pores and absorbs really quick.
To help control excess oil and shine throughout the day I am loving the Bioderma Sébium Pore Refiner. First I just have to say it smells, amazing, a really fresh zesty smell, almost like men’s aftershave actually lol! I apply this just to my t-zone so nose, forehead and chin. It really helps keep shine away, I’ve noticed less pimples and I think the pores on my nose look smaller. It is also great a really good base for under make up. Onto a winner with this product, I love it!
Finally, for my eyes to help de-puff them in the morning I use The Body Shop Drops of Youth Eye Concentrate. It has a metal ball that you roll under your eyes so it feels really cool and refreshing.
keep an eye out for my evening skin care routine next but in the meantime I’d really love to know what products you guys are currently using in the mornings? Yaz xo
