Last week I was invited to the Mothercare press day to see what’s coming to stores for Spring/Summer. I had a lovely afternoon checking out all the new products and clothes while catching up with some other bloggers and came home with a lovely goodie bag for the kids with some bits from ELC which we love as they do great crafty bits and educational toys.
Clothes wise there’s lots of gorgeous new bits for kids and babies this Spring/Summer but the main ones that caught my eye were the Little Bird by Jooles Oliver collection, Smile by Julien MacDonald and the Mothercare ‘My Firsts’ collection.
All great quality and very affordable. I’ve always found the clothes from Mothercare wash so well and keep their shape for ages so can be passed down.
Littlebird by Jooles Oliver
I always love the Jooles Oliver collection. Little Bird is as always bright and colourful and very unisex. I loved all the peter pan collars and 70’s vibe. So cute, I want it all!
Smile Julien MacDonald
This collection is for newborn and babies ages 0-2. There’s a mix of casual wear and occasion wear at affordable prices while being high quality. All 31 pieces will be available at Mothercare in Stephens Green Shopping Centre and online at mothercare.ie from April 20th.
There’s also the Mothercare ‘My First’ collection which is 100% cotton baby clothes.
There is integrated scratch mitts up to the 3-6 months age range so they won’t be puling off the individual scratch mitts.
The range also has envelope necks that make getting clothes off super easy as you just pull it down over their body rather than over their head…handy if they’ve done a poop that’s gone everywhere haha!
Then from 9 months the sleep suits have non-slip grips on the soles of the feet to help them while cruising.
There are lots of handy features in this collection so it’s perfect for new baba’s and makes life a little bit easier for parents. See more about the collection here
Mothercare XSS Pockit Stroller *Exclusive to Mothercare*
I seen this or something similar at least in a video a few years ago and wondered when we’d get it, well now we do. This is actually a Guinness World record breaking stroller as it folds up so small and is very lightweight.
It will fit in the overhead compartment of an airplane making it perfect fr travel or even just to have in the car for trips to the shops. Here’s a video of it it action or view the buggy here at Mothercare.
So there you go, lot’s of exciting new things coming from Mothercare. My favourites are the Little Bird collection and the XSS Pokkit Stroller. Anything take your fancy? Yaz x
