Emma’s Eco-Soy Candles – Irish Business

I’m back today with another feature on an Irish business I came across #Swapbiz (a new idea encouraging Irish Businesses to swap goods/services for the goods-services of other businesses!)

Emma’s Eco-Soy Candles is run by the very creative Emma with a little help from her business saavy hubby! It is a member of Guaranteed Irish so you know you really are supporting a great Irish business

  • Boxes and labels are designed in Dundalk, Co. Louth.
  • Labels are printed in Duleek in Co. Meath.
  • Boxes are printed and manufactured in Dublin.
  • A selection of essential oils are sourced in Ireland.

So onto the candles! Emma’s Eco-Soy Candles are handmade using soy wax
Soy wax is

  • Made from plant oil
  • Natural
  • Biodegradable
  • Renewable
  • Environmentally friendly

Emma’s Candles are all fragranced using natural essential oils, use cotton wicks and contain no paraffin, artificial dyes or synthetic fragrances.

Most other candles are made suing paraffin wax and contain petroleum that releases harmful toxins when burned!
Certainly not good for anyone especially if you have children or pets. Lately I have been trying to be more aware of what I’m putting in my body via beauty products. As have young children and love to have candles burning it’s something I have worried about so I’m glad to now know there is a safer alternative to my usual candles.

Emma’s Candles are available in a 50 Hour Boxed Tumbler Candles, 20 Hour Tin Candles, or Wax Tart Melts.

I was kindly sent a tin candle and two wax tart melts by Emma to try out for myself.

The tin candle is very neat and pretty. Within minutes of lighting my bedroom smelled so fresh . It wasn’t a sickly strong smell which I don’t like about some candles and can cause migraines!
For the tart candle I just broke a bit off Emmas Wax Tart Melts and again they left a beautiful lingering fragrance. I love the lavender one best 🙂

I will definitely be buying some more of these natural candles. They burn really well and smell just as good as non natural candles but are heaps better for you and the environment. Win-win I say 😀 Prices go from 4.95 for a wax tart melt to €19.95 for a large tumbler.

You can see & buy the range of Emmas Candles here. Also International customers can buy from Amazon or find you local retailer through the site! You can like/follow on Emma’s Candle on Facebook & Twitter to keep up to date with any news and tell them I sent you.

Have you tried natural candles before or Emma’s Eco-Soy Candles? Do you find them a better alternative to other candles? Yaz x

  • To get her raw recipes you need to look in the salads section, which is where I found this awesome and beautiful-looking recipe for kohlrabi, radish, and shaved
asparagus salad with lemon-chive dressing. Various vegetables like cucumber, squash, and zucchini
can be sliced in novel ways within seconds by using a spiral vegetable
slicer. She not only offers a lot of great-looking recipes (she’s
an ace photographer too, by the way), she also sells the Paderno
spiralizer (looks like the same kind I have), has a mobile app,
is publishing a cookbook that will soon be available, and
has videos on You – Tube and Vimeo that show you how to use a spiralizer and how to spiralize specific vegetables’like this one on spiralizing butternut squash.
